October Design Team Project - Winter

Good Morning My Sweet Crafting Friends,
I am so excited to show you want I created for our My Pink Stamper Design team project this month. I really struggled on what to make this month. I wanted something wonderful, original and creative but then after DAYS of thinking I decided I needed to just make SOMETHING and have fun creating!!! So I came up with the idea of creating a Christmas Wish List notebook for my sister in law. We live so far away from each other so every year my kids make a Christmas list and send it to her. This year I decided I would make something that she can keep her Christmas shopping list all in one place. She will be a new mommy to two sweet baby boys very soon so I wanted to help make her life a little simpler too.  I am going to have each of my children write there list leaving a few pages blank in the front of the notebook so she can add her own lists. Plus the added pockets will be great to keep receipts. I really love how this turned out, I think I am going to have to make one for my Mom and for myself too!!

So, I took a plain notebook I purchased at the Dollar Tree, decorated it, added a piece of paper in the front with red sticky tape around the edges except the top to make a pocket in the front and back inside covers. Also I added some ribbon, trying a new technique. I have never done a ruffled ribbon and I LOVE how it looks!! I cut this adorable snowman and welded the rectangle to the broom handle to make a sign, both cuts are from the Joy of the Season Cartridge. I then used My Pink Stamper's new stamp set "Christmas Wishes" for the front cover and on the inside I added a cute snow flake to create a border with her adorable stamp set "Winter Punnies". I think they added the perfect touch to my project!!!
