Sigh.......

So I have been thinking about my blog the last few months and as you I am sure noticed I took a little step back to focus on my family. Plus I feel we have all been sick off and on since November. It has been a very long trying almost 3 months. Yesterday and today I have been taking care of our youngest who has the stomach flu and trying to keep everyone else from getting. I feel so bad for my sweet baby! I keep praying God would bring health to our family. We have so much going on in the next 4 weeks!

Does any one have any tips on how to get the germs out of your house? I feel like I have been cleaning non stop and still not making any progress.

Well, about the blogging. I will try to post as often as I can craft projects and I also decided I would like to add a few more family posts in the mix. I have been think too about doing a special what's for dinner segment once a week or maybe just once a month. I thought it would be so fun to if we could all link up and share our ideas for dinner. In the new year one of my goals is to get more organized with meals. I will be back soon with a project or two. I

I hope you are all have a wonderful weekend!

Cristi I understand Completely. As a mother of 5 I know that it's hard to keep the germs away. The germs are starting to flow in my house as well Thank GOD its just small colds every now and again. Lysol and the Clorox Wipes are my best friends if you haven't already tried that then I would suggest those two.

Also take as much time as you need we will be here when you get back. I can't wait til you start the What's for Dinner Segments that is gonna be fun as mommies we need to get creative w/ dinner or the kiddos get bored real quick lol.

Hang in there Cristi! We're sick here, too.....yuck!!! I LOVE your idea of sharing dinner ideas...making dinner's my least favorite chore and figuring out what in the world to fix is the worst part of it!!! :) That would be a lot of fun!!!

I love it when bloggers have real life updates on their craft blogs too! I do that because crafting at this point has been on the back burner due to being sick and getting my apt ready. I'm all for it!

Take care of you...would love to see what's cooking..love new ideas in that area...germs out of the house..grandma told me if you were going out for the day while it was cold to open up some windows and let the cold air sweep into the house a couple of hours while you were gone..before you got back 1/2 hour have someone go in and close them and it might help kill them? I have to say I have done this and the house smelled good and well we were healthy for a while?? Good luck.

Get well, that is the most important thing. Make it a ritual that everyone has to wash their hands often, especially before meals. I truly believe that washing your hands helps to kill germs. Also when someone has been really sick and has to stay in bed, every couple days I wash the bedding and feel that kills some germs, and if nothing else makes the ill person comfy crawling into a fresh smelling bed. Drink Lots of fluids. Man, I sound like a doctor! But, I have been there and done that and I hate it when the family gets ill. Take Care.

Cristi, being the 7th of 9 kids, my mom quarantined the sick one to the living room couch. Lysol was daily sprayed through the whole house during those times.

A good friend taught me that God designed our bodies to heal itself. A fever is simply the body trying to kill off infection. So, I learned not to give Tylenol so often or quickly. My 4 kids rarely were sick past 2 days. Tylenol only "relieves" the symptoms (which is sometimes helpful for sleep), but it doesn't heal, and only prolongs the illness and gives more time for it to spread. Sounds drastic, but it really does work.

Hi Cristy well first of all family will always be first hoope everyone in your family is ok to get germs out put the A/C as high as it can be like the ghopsitals do and clean w/ clorox (I know it might be super cold were you are) but that is one of the best ways to get the out... & hope you can post soon lol

I know I am super late posting, but time is something I have little of. I hope you and your family are feeling better now. I understand your concerns, many years ago my hubby had a heart transplant and we had a kindergartner. I learned to quarantine each person, and Lysol, Lysol, Lysol. Germs fly around in the air and I take colds seriously. Less contact is the best. We even had the bird flu in our schools 2 years ago took out a whole school district, and I think my oldest might of brought it home, and she was not allowed out her room, she was fine after one day. But, don't get me wrong my works are minimal to those of God, so Prayer always on my list.
