Cupcake Birthday Card - Detailed Instructions

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I had a few emails and comments asking me for more details on how I created the card from the My Pink Stamper's February Design Team post. So I decided to a more detailed post on step by step how I created it.

I used my Gypsy as always and the Wild Card Cartridge. (But you do not have to use a gypsy or design system, you can get the same results with just your Cricut) I cut all of the images at 5.5". Find the cupcake card image on the Wild Card Cartridge, cut the cupcake top using the Icon Shift Function Button and then I ran it through the swirly Cuttlebug folder. Then cut the cupcake bottom layer using the Icon Function Button. The lines on the this layer is just to give it extra dimension. Last but not least for the candle I cut it 2x's but in yellow and a lighter purple using the Liner Function Button.

Cut out the card base image 2x's, click the Blackout Function Button to get the base image I used. Glue the two cupcake base layers together so the back two layers are free to open and close. I cut out two more of this card base layer image in dark purple and cream. These images were cut 1/4" smaller then each other to use as the layers to create the area I stamped the Subway Art look . I just trimmed off the cupcakes at the score line.

I then laid out the different stamps from My Pink Stamper on the cream layer before adhering it to the base to get the look I wanted. Then I put the stamps on my blocks and stamped each one individually.

I added the ribbon before I glued the two base cupcakes together and tied a bow. For the candle I snipped the flame off of the purple candle so the yellow showed from the other candle I cut in yellow, then added stickles to the flame and white pen detail.

I cut out a rectangle after I stamped the saying on the purple paper, inked around it and cut a larger rectangle layer from silver paper. I also added a few gems and pen detail.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! If you have any questions about any project always feel free to email me or leave comment with your question. If you have any more questions about today card, ask away.
