Hey Crafty Friends What's For Dinner? Sloppy Joes

Hi My Sweet Crafty Friends...

Do you remember awhile ago when I had mentioned about starting a segment about What's for Dinner? Well, I am finally getting around to it. I am excited to share with you some yummy recipes my family enjoys. I have gotten some of my recipes from sweet friends and different sources, I will always give credit where credit is due.

I struggle with dinner, I never know what to make. I feel like I always make the same thing. Lately I have turned to my sweet friends for help. So that brings us to this easy and yummy recipe. It is a huge hit in my family, I even have cupcakes (my kiddos) who don't like Sloppy Joe's and they LOVED these!!! They are perfect to double or triple for a party.

Sloppy Joe's
by: My Sweet Friend Dorcas

Ingredients:
Extra virgin olive oil
1 large onion, diced
1 1/2 pound of ground beef
kosher salt and ground pepper
2 cups of ketchup
1/4 cup of yellow mustard
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper ( I use 1/8 tsp to cut the kick back)
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 can of tomato sauce (my addition)
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
Buns

Direction: Set a heavy-based pot over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add onions and saute for 2 to 3 minutes until translucent. Add ground beef, season well with salt and pepper and brown well all over, breaking it up with a wooden spoon- about 7 to 10 minutes. Add ketchup, mustard, cayenne, brown sugar and tomato paste. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes. Finish with a splash of red wine vinegar and season once more before serving on buns.

If you try it let me know what you and your family think!!!

So what would you think about a link up at the bottom of these posts to add your What's For Dinner???
